On this session, I had decided to go old school, Cause nobody is playing this era, so i wanted to change my format this session, these jams right here where played thru people windows that party, In any hood, And back in those days we had boom boxes, and there where no car radio system, and for you to hear this music loud, A dj from the block would take his equipment to the parks and school yards in the summer, and every weekend there was a block party, where I grew up at, in BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN, I Was one of those dj's, And we used to rock the crowd, So this session is like we having a block party, Drinkin, smokin, Chillin, playing dominoes, cards, and the fellas in the basketball courts gettin it in, Well i can't explain every details, cause half the time, I was stuck behind the turntables in all the party's & blowout we had with this music, So now it's time for others to hear and enjoy this era

In the beginning there was the Real to Real, 8 Track Tape, Cassette Tape and then the Vinyl. This brings us to Love Disco Style DJ’S , Established in 1977 by STEVIE D. As founder and DJ, STEVIE D envisioned the world of music much more than something written down on paper, as a former DJ of the group known as “Touch of Class”, STEVIE D inspired local DJ’s to be much more than just street playing jockeys, recruiting members of his own family and friends, the new group “LOVE DISCO STYLE”, hit the streets with a whole new way of mixing music, sparing no cost in purchasing equipment and dressing the part of talented individuals with a common goal in life. ‘LOVE DISCO STYLE”, captured the hearts of many. In 1982 “LOVE DISCO STYLE” went through a transformation, and once again surpassed all others, the new L.D.S. Productions involved more than just music, this time, the sky was the limit and music was the answer, one beat, one mix. The new L.D.S., incorporated with its music, Break Dancers, Models, Singers, DJ’S, security staff, and various types of entertainers. L.D.S. Productions even had their own slogan; Q: What’s the Word? A: LDS Q: Where the power? A: In the Music Q: Where are we going? A: To the Top L.D.S. Productions reached into the streets and recruited young men and women who were deem to be loss. By challenging their abilities and talent, L.D.S. DJ’S inspired them to be all they could be and more. Performing in places like the New York “Cotton Club”, 98.7 Kiss street concerts and shows across the tri-state area. L.D.S. DJ’S performed with the following radio stations like; 98.7 Kiss FM, 107.5 FM-WBLS, youth & action 93.5FM. At one point, L.D.S. had members in Puerto Rico, Los Angelas, CA. In 1985, L.D.S. reached a peek of memberships totaling 103 members, the largest production DJS and Dancer in NYC; ranging from the ages of 5 to 65 yrs, no one was to young or to old. The mission remains the same, one Beat one Mix. Today L.D.S. Productions, after nearly 32 years of heart throbbing music, still lives on, through WESBEATSMIXES.PODOMATIC.COM founded by “Will-E-Skillz, A.K.A. WESBEATS A.K.A. D.J. WHITE."
